Can I measure my return as the increase in the value of my portfolio over a given period?
TITLE~Investors often take the following shortcut, which often yields misleading results. Instead of looking at total return, they simply compare their year-end portfolio value with the value at the beginning of the year, and attribute the entire growth to investment gains. The reason this shortcut may be misleading is that any additional investments or withdrawals made during the year are not taken into account.

Question: How many judges will review my portfolio?
Board for Certification of Genealogists ® - Certificatio...Answer: At a minimum, three. Those three judges work independently of each other, without seeing the evaluations prepared by the others. If all three judges approve your application, you are automatically certified. If only one or two judges recommend certification, your entire portfolio will be sent to a fourth judge (an arbitration judge), who will review your work and the evaluations of the three prior judges. The arbitration judge's decision is final.
How do you rebalance the portfolio?
Frequently Asked QuestionsOur rebalancing is based on math - not human intuition or a calendar. The formula is tied to the performance of each Essential Theme and is designed to keep the portfolio from becoming over-concentrated in any one Theme. The Fund will generally invest in these Themes in substantially equal 20% portions over time.
