Check to see if the phone line is connected correctly to your system. Make sure it is connected to the LINE jack of the modem. Go into the Device Manager and remove all items listed under "Modems". Please check that your ISP supports 56K modems and that you are using the correct service. Using the wrong service will result in the modem not being able to connect above 33.6Kbps.
