All students applying for the TechLEAP/ WebLEAP program with the internship option must take the Aptitude test. If you are not looking for an internship from the TechLEAP program, you would not need to take the aptitude test. However, we encourage people to take the aptitude test because it gives both prospective students, enrolled students, and the Program Director a baseline from which to advise students on their career options, and to make class schedule and career decisions.

I you have never taken the U.S. Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SATs) or equivalent tests, we recommend that you take the Practice DAT test. The Practice DAT is available as an option, to familiarize you with the DAT test format and types of questions which are asked in the actual DAT test.

BCA is a low-stake assessment tool to enhance learning and teaching. It is not related to the Secondary School Places Allocation mechanism and is not a public examination. It functions very differently from the Academic Aptitude Test and hence it is definitely not its replacement.

The only time you would retake the NJATC/AIR Aptitude test is if you do not at first qualify for the oral interview by achieving a score of five (5) or above on a stanine scale. You will not be eligible to retest for a period of six (6) months from the previous test date. Qualifying test scores are good for a period of two (2) years. If you reapply after that time period you will be rescheduled to retake the test.

No. For application purposes we will accept the American Dental Aptitude Test. We will consider the Reading Comprehension, Perceptual Ability, Academic Average, and Quantitative Reasoning sections of the ADA DAT.
