The Rotor System is available in both English (BSA) and Italian (ITA) thread models for road bikes. Also, within these two types of threads, the road bike version is available in double and triple chainring models which can be installed on all road bike frames.

We see more and more hybrids every year. My personal opinion is that BRAG is easier if you use a road bike with skinny tires because it has less road resistance. And road bikes tend to be lighter weight than fat-tire bikes. Those with mountain bikes may want to put slicks on their bikes. You will never ride alone on BRAG. There will always be someone riding at or near your pace.

Yes, when properly installed some of the threads will remain exposed on the right side of the frame. Once the chainline is correctly adjusted, a few threads will remain visible due to design details that make the Rotor System compatible with all frames; those with longer or shorter BB tube housings (68, 70, 73, E-type derailleur, etc.). This detail does not interfere with securing or installing the Rotor System to the frame.

Recumbent: The Rotor system offers exactly the same advantages for a recumbent bicycle as it does for a normal bicycle, be it road or mountain. The only difference is the installation process.

Our bikes are best described as touring bikes. They are specifically meant for loaded travel. They are a combination of both road and mountain bikes. If you choose the top option, he will give you the Mach Bike, choose the bottom option and you have the Acro bike. You can change bikes by talking to him again. The Mach Bike allows you to get over cracks and up mudslides. You must be at top speed to get over the cracks and up the mudslides, so start off at a distance and hold down the direction button.

Like learning to climb a hill, you will need to train for a while until you are able to keep up. Don't expect to just hop on and go as fast as you used to, or you'll be disappointed. Rest assured, eventually you'll be able to keep up. And, you'll be a lot more comfortable than they are! It also depends on the type of recumbent you ride. Some models are more comfort-oriented, while others are designed for speed.

A stopped rotor would probably not produce any less drag than a slowly turning rotor when all factors are considered, and it has several disadvantages. Rotor blade centrifugal force (CF) provides a moment (force times a lever arm) that counters the blade lift to keep the blades from rising up excessively. As the rotor slows down, at some point there will not be enough CF to handle the blade lift on the advancing blade. This will cause the rotor to flap excessively.

Yes the thrust bearing races are close to the same size. The easiest way to tell which one has the larger inside diameter is to place them on the spindle shaft and rock them back and forth. The one that moves the most is the one that needs to go toward the center of the rotor. The other one with the smaller inside diameter goes toward the blade.

Is the tail drivetrain slipping? This is common with the LMH-100 series, and with helicopters that use belt-drive tails.

Is your gyro mounting foam correct for the gyro you are using? The CSM gyro, for example, works best with the foam it is shipped with, which is different than anything else out there.

Actually, this is not something you need to worry about (as long as you have the leading edge facing the right direction!). Once the rotors start spinning, centrifugal force will pull the blades into their proper positions. You will usually see the helicopter start to wobble as you spin up the blades, then smooth out. The wobble comes from the imbalanced caused by different blade lead/lag angles, and the smoothness comes when the blades have both been pulled into position.

A floating rotor has oblong holes instead of straight holes cut into the rotor flange to allow for thermal expansion. For those who have a fold-over tower, the rotor must be removed if the tower is going to be left in the folded over position. On the CDE/HyGain rotors there is a tongue and groove connection and, when in the horizontal position, water is allowed over this connection and the rotor will fill up with water. Since nothing inside is protected, everything will rust very quickly. On the HD73 rotor there is an up and a down.

Rotors usually have a relatively low precipitation rate, so one station of rotors can cover a large area. There are single stream rotors, multi-stream rotors, full circle and part-circle arc rotors.
