For long tour areas, you must complete 2/3rds of your tour. This means you must have between 6 and 12 months remaining until DEROS. For short tour areas (1 yr. tours) you must have between 6-10 months until DEROS. You cannot apply prior to meeting these requirements because we cannot reassign you until your DEROS assuming you are qualified and selected. We do not have the authority to curtail your tour.
