When algebrahelp.com began creating calculators, Java Applets were the most effective means of providing access to our calculators. Today, many web browsers do not support Java Applets by default. Thus, algebrahelp.com has begun moving to new technology that does not require a Java enabled web browser. We have already converted several of our calculators to use this new technology, but a few legacy Java Applets remain.

Yes, however all updates will be forwarded to the purchaser of the software. If you are not going to be providing long term support for a client's website, you may wish to have your client purchase the calculators directly from us. Your client can then send you access information to download the software so that you can handle the installation.

Yes - the calculators work with all versions of Windows Vista. The only difference is the security messages that may appear during a routine installation of the SUN Java Plug-in. This security change doesn't affect people who already have Java installed on their computer, or if they install Java manually by downloading the install executable instead of using www.java.com's automatic install.

The majority of our financial calculators have been reviewed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) through one or more of our clients. Whenever there is an issue, we have acted immediately to address it. The FINRA has a couple of items that they consider extremely important in regards to all financial calculators used by their members. Yes and no. You may not use a calculator of your own. However, for a select number of items, an electronic calculator will automatically be made available as you work on these questions. The calculator will not appear on the screen for every item.
