Can my router be used with a cable modem?

These models are designed to work with an external internet connetion, such as a an external ADSL or cable modem, and so are ideal for using with a Telstra Bigpond or Optus cable service, using the cable modem supplied by Bigpond/Optus. Please see the WAN FAQ. The DrayTek Vigor models which have a built-in ADSL modem are hardcoded to apply router, firewall and VPN to the ADSL interface (and ISDN interface, if included).
