The famous "pop" is the most telling symptom of an ACL injury, although you may have a tear without ever experiencing the pop. The injury is usually followed by considerable pain and swelling within the first several hours. You may develop a feeling of instability in the knee or "giving way", making walking difficult.

The ACL is the Anterior Cruciate Ligament. There are more than 4 major ligaments that essentially hold the knee together. Without one of more of these ligaments the knee would be loose and you would perceive that the knee was giving way or buckling. The ACL is the most commonly torn knee ligament. The ACL is usually torn as the result of a non-contact twisting injury. You will usually feel or hear a pop, the knee will buckle and within a short period of time, significant swelling will occur.

Symptoms with a damaged ACL will be pain, swelling and a feeling of instability. Often times the knee can buckle underneath you and “give way.” If twisting, stopping, turning sports are attempted with a torn ACL, these buckling and “giving way” episodes will recur – a “trick knee.

A key feature of a serious ACL injury is a feeling of instability (i.e. that the knee may collapse from underneath you).

Symptoms involve sensations of clicking and catching with certain motions in the shoulder. Often times they can become very painful. The labrum does not generally heal on its own. The mechanical symptoms can increase over time and can become painful.

Many adults have a tear and do not even know it. These are typically degenerative or attritional tears. Painful tears in adults are usually larger, "flap" tears. They will cause pain with kneeling, squatting, pivoting, going downstairs and occasionally they will even hurt at night when you roll over in bed.

The classic symptom of a torn meniscus is pain, often felt as a sharp, almost “knife-like” stabbing sensation on the inside (medial tear) or outside (lateral tear) of the knee. This pain is often felt in waves, with bouts of severe discomfort, followed by no pain, felt over the course of several days/weeks. However, the pain may also be felt as an aching sensation or even just as stiffness of the knee.

It is important to notice that if you asked your passengers to report any of these symptoms that most flights would be ended early because of "Carbon Monoxide (CO) symptoms".

Warm-up properly before training. Raise the body heat by light jogging around the mat, sports-specific drills, etc. The only thing more stupid than people who only train the top half of their body are people who only train the front half of their body. Every skeletal muscle has an opposing muscle. Together they move the attached bone(s) by contracting and expanding, (such as the bicep and tricep, guadricep and hamstring, etc.).

There are several steps to making the diagnosis. First is your story, the what, when and how of your injury and what symptoms you are having. Second is a physical exam that includes both looking at and feeling the knee, and putting it through some non-painful moves to check for looseness and clunks. Third, an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) may occasionally be done to look for an ACL tear. While very good, these methods aren’t perfect.

The main symptom is pain, especially pain that prevents you from sleeping or wakes you from sleeping at night. Other symptoms are general weakness and inability to use the shoulder, especially in the overhead position. Rotator cuff tears do not heal on their own. However, symptoms of pain can decrease and the function of the shoulder can improve with physical therapy such that surgery may not be necessary.

The signs and symptoms of eczema (atopic dermatitis) vary from person to person. Most commonly, the affected skin becomes very dry, itchy, red and swollen; sometimes it's cracked, crusty and scaly. Older children usually get the eczema rash behind the knees, inside the elbows, on the sides of the neck, and on the wrists, ankles and hands In adults, eczema usually shows up as rashes on the arms, legs, hands and neck, but any location can be involved

The essential feature of bipolar disorder is recurrent, remitting, cyclical episodes of both mania and depression throughout the course of the illness with one or more manic episodes usually accompanied by one or more major depressive episodes. Most frequently the initial episode that leads to hospitalization is manic. It is essential to understand that this disorder is characterized by different degrees of intensity of the symptoms in either the manic or the depressive stage.

The illness usually begins with a high fever (measured temperature greater than 100.4°F [>38.0°C]). The fever is sometimes associated with chills or other symptoms, including headache, general feeling of discomfort, and body aches. Some people also experience mild respiratory symptoms at the outset. Diarrhea is seen in approximately 10 percent to 20 percent of patients.
