Formal tryouts for the AAU season are held each year in late February and early March. Parents are always encouraged to contact the head coaches and team managers in respective age groups for tryout information and opportunities. Answer: Tryouts, roster additions or subtractions, or other related issues are considered team issues and coaching decisions. Only in the case of gross misconduct (coach, player or parent) would the club interfere in such decisions. If a coach does not wish to have any roster additions or subtractions, they are not required to go to tryouts.

Travel teams are formed in the fall for the following spring season. The tryout dates are listed in the travel section of this site and in The Northville Record in late summer. Players that are playing on a house team and are interested in playing on a "tournament team" are encourages to talk with their coaches about this opportunity. Tournament teams are formed early in the spring season. The NBSA is a volunteer-based organization providing opportunities for our 1400 + ball players.

Yes, if you choose to tryout for the Orange Squad and are not chosen, you can then request for consideration for the White Squad. It is still highly recommended that you attend the each of the separate tryouts should you choose to do so. Orange squad tryouts will be held before white squad tryouts.

Athletes' abilities will be observed in order to place them on a team most appropriate for their skill level.

Timed 60 yd dash, radar gun arm strength, hitting, fielding skills, and if you are a pitcher you will throw on the mound. Pitchers will not show defensive skills, but they will run and hit.

You can watch for announcements of try-outs in the newspaper and on the Internet. Some teams have their own website. You can also contact the coaches directly. Your league´s commissioner will be happy to help you contact the coaches. If you register for the recreation league, you may be approached by a Contract Team coach during a game to invite you to try-out for his/her team.

Non-Manalapan residents can try out for the U8 MSC travel teams only if they have played in our rec program for the last year. Out of towners are allowed to try out for U9 and older teams even if they previously weren't a part of the Manalapan Soccer Club.Back to top

All applicants should be in good physical condition/shape in order to keep up with the demands of the dance team. You will never be under weight restrictions however, it is required for you to look your best for your body frame type. Once chosen, all girls meet with the dance coach that will help you set up a personal fitness program in order to meet or maintain your optimal fitness level and ideal weight.
