We offer Gift Cards that include the required 7.75% California sales tax so that the recipient will not be charged sales tax at checkout.

Sales tax is charged on all orders that have a shipping destination in the State of Ohio. If you are a non-profit organization with a shipping address in Ohio, please put a note that includes your Federal Tax ID number in the additional comments area at the time of checkout. We will then issue you a credit in the amount of the sales tax that our shopping cart calculates, and email you a new receipt with an accurate order total. We wish we didn’t have to charge sales tax for in-state, California orders, but the law looks at not only where we ship something to, but where we ship from – in our case Truckee, CA. Put very simply, orders shipping to ANY address in California & Nevada get charged sales tax at the rate of 7.25%. Orders shipping ANYWHERE ELSE in the United States pay nada.
