The best way is to not configure NcFTPd, and instead let your FTP server machine's operating system manage how ephemeral ports are allocated. If the remote server is running sshd(8), it may be possible to ''tunnel'' certain services via ssh. This may be desirable, for example, to encrypt POP or SMTP connections, even though the software does not directly support encrypted communications.
