In the AVI Export Setting window, you may adjust the Recording volume slider. If the slider doesn't work or there is no audio in the output video, please open the system recording control by clicking on the Advance button. And make sure that you have selected the waveform audio type as the recording source. Please notice that your audio card does support the waveform device recording.

I'd use a WAV editor. There is a Winamp plugin called Audiostocker which is designed to "normalize" playback volume, but I don't know whether it can be used at the same time as the Disk Writer plugin. Alternatively you could try and use a program that goes directly from MP3 files to burning an audio CD and had normalization functions built in. MP3 CD Maker does, but I could never get that program to work at all, and the help is useless (essentially non-existant).

Ring volume is adjusted by pressing the volume buttons while the phone is on-hook. Call volume is adjusted by pressing the volume buttons while a call is in progress.

A product must pass all the tests related to the specified list of features which are based on RFC standards 3261 and related RFCs for trunk and line-side SIP interfaces. You can check your microphone's level using Control Panel's Multimedia applet. Select 'Options/Properties' and then 'Adjust volume for recording'. Use the 'Microphone' slider to adjust microphone sensivity. Many factors affect the overall sound quality. If you get distorted audio the most probable cause is a badly adjusted microphone.
