Like the GPA, there is no "good" MCAT score: individuals with low MCAT scores gain admission to medical school, while some candidates with very high scores are not accepted. The most common total numeric score for admitted applicants is 26-28. Applicants with a total numeric score of 27 are as likely to be accepted as rejected.

In order to apply to the Illinois MBA, you are required to take the GMAT. You also must take the appropriate test for the other school in which you are enrolled. Joint degree students must apply to the MBA for the term in which they plan to enroll in the MBA. See Joint Degree for more details.

The Committee on Effective Teaching and Faculty Awards is authorized and established by the Chancellor. It has responsibility for: nominating faculty members for special teaching awards established at the University of Missouri-Rolla. The committee is expected to keep the faculty informed of its policies in consultation with the Academic Council. The committee's responsibilities include teaching in the formats of lecture, recitation and laboratory.

It is not necessary for students to submit an MCAT score. However, if a student has sat the MCAT examination, submitting the score will assist UNSW staff in assessing the application for a place in UNSW Medicine.

The Admissions Committee recommends applicants receive a score of 20 or above on the MCAT. This year's incoming class received an average of 23.

The adcom is going to wonder, has this guy decided he wants to do medicine or is he going to change his mind again? An MCAT of 35 is more than decent... I think that the bigger challenge for you will be assuring the adcom that you will fit in (you are non-traditional in every sense of the word) and that you will stay in medicine.

We will accept MCAT scores from 2005 forward. If you sat for an MCAT earlier than 2005 that you would like considered, you need to apply for a waiver (Scroll to bottom of page for instructions).

The Admission Committee looks for evidence of the ability to be successful in graduate school. There are no numerical formulas or absolute score/GPA cutoffs used when evaluating applications. All information submitted is carefully considered so that the committee gets a clear picture of the whole person. Grades from past college/university work, test score(s), and letters of recommendation and/or personal statements where required, are taken into consideration.

Effective 2007-2008 applications, the Admissions Committee considers scores earned on Reading Comprehension, Academic Average, Perceptual Ability, and Carving. We will require a DAT Reading Comprehension score. Consequently, you will have to write the English DAT to be eligible for admission to this dental program. It may be possible to satisfy the DAT requirements (both French and English) for all dental schools by writing the English DAT alone.

When reviewing allegations of misconduct, the Commission and the Committee consider the nature and severity of the offense, its relationship to teaching, the recency of the acts or crimes, compliance with court sanctions, and any evidence of rehabilitation. The burden of proof lies with the applicant to demonstrate documented evidence of rehabilitation.

No minimum score is required. The admissions committee is looking for applicants who demonstrate that they can handle graduate level coursework and who will excel in the professional world of public service. Applicants can show evidence of their academic abilities through their undergraduate record, any relevant graduate level courses they've taken, and the GRE. [up]

If you are hoping to matriculate in a professional school the year after you graduate, you should take these exams in the spring of your Junior year. If you plan to do a gap year after you graduate, you should take the MCAT or GRE in the spring two years before you hope to matriculate. For example, if you plan to matriculate in Fall 2010, you will be applying in Fall 2009, which means you should take the MCAT or GRE no later than the Spring of 2009.

Barry Law follows a rolling admissions policy. The admissions committee generally begins reviewing files in November until the class if filled. All kinds, but only full-time post-baccalaureate work experience is counted in the official statistics we report. When we evaluate your application, we consider all full-time work, military experience, part-time work, internships, co-op assignments, summer jobs, and volunteer work.

GPA's and MCAT scores do not offset one another. Both have predictive value for success in medical school, particularly in the first two years, which everyone seems to think are the hardest. Therefore, the Admissions Committee generally prefers students who have both good GPA's and good MCAT scores.

The only applicants for whom later MCAT scores may be considered are those who were designated as Alternates for possible admission to the class entering 2008, if and when the Committee reviews those applicants.
