Please arrive one hour prior to your child's surgery and be sure to accurately follow the preoperative diet guidelines.

Initially, you and your doctor will discuss where the surgery will be done. This will be dependent not only on you and the doctor's preferences, but also on your insurance plans. Our office staff will help you in determining what facility fits within your insurance plan. If you have tickets in your possession you should check in at the airline counter no less than 60 minutes before your scheduled departure. If you have reservations, but do not have tickets in your possession, allow more time and check with your airline.

Many patients with similar hemoglobin levels have had surgery without problems. If minimal blood loss is expected for a minor procedure, no treatment may be necessary. If a greater blood loss is expected for more extensive procedures, you should ask your doctor about being treated with erythropoietin and iron to accelerate the recovery of your hemoglobin to a normal level before surgery.

Please park on the 3rd floor or the garage which is designated for surgical patients and their families. Walk through the glass doors to the surgical suite on the 3rd floor of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center. If you are an insurance patient, your surgery and pre-operative appointments will be scheduled once we receive an authorization and/or benefit verification from your insurance company. This authorization process can take up to six weeks. If you are a cash patient, the Program Administrator will contact you to schedule the surgery within a week of your consultation. The actual surgery date will be at least two weeks from your first visit to our clinic.

You will receive a phone call from a staff nurse the day before your surgery to review last minute pre-operative instructions with you and confirm your arrival time the day of surgery. Generally, we ask that our patients arrive at the Surgery Center 1 hour prior to surgery.

Patients scheduled for surgery at Etobicoke General Hospital should first register at the Central Registration Desk located in the Main Lobby of the hospital. You will then be directed to the Day Surgery Unit or the Surgical Suite.

Please be aware that out of fairness toward others, if you arrive more than 20 minutes late for your appointment, you may not receive the length of treatment session that would be typical or may be asked to re-schedule the appointment.

The tall ships will sail into the Main Channel at the Port of Los Angeles on Thursday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m. for the Grand Parade of Sail. Vessels will be docked along the waterfront.

For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you check in 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment.

You can store it, but you need to do two things. Read the instructions that come with your drawings on how to care for and store the wall and roof sheets, and secondly, you must inventory the building when it arrives. You need to immediately note any shortages or damage on the bill of lading before signing it, and you have three days to report "hidden damage" or missing or damaged goods that arrived in sealed containers (for example, screws that come in sealed boxes).

We can offer you the time remaining on your treatment. However, please realize that we will need to work within the time that is remaining so as not to interfere with the next guest's reservation.

All patients must participate in the Bariatric Center’s program, which requires a minimum of three visits before surgery. Opting to self-pay will not help in moving up a surgery date. (Top)

Breathing exercises are beneficial both at the time of preparation for surgery and in the post-surgery period. Breathing exercises with an Frolov's Device increase the organism's reserves and allow for a better patient preparation for surgery, especially for those who suffer from lungs, heart diseases and diabetes. They also help to get over narcosis more easily and to recover after the operation.

From New Bedford, we recommend that you plan to arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to a departure during the summer season. Boarding will begin 15 minutes prior to the departure. Reservations not picked up 10 minutes prior to a departure may be released to stand-by passengers.

You should plan to arrive at the surgery center 1-2 hours prior to your surgery. The time of your arrival will be verified during your preadmission phone call. It is very important that you arrive on time so that your surgery is not delayed or possibly cancelled.

We ask every patient to call 443-481-5700 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. the day prior to surgery for instructions on the time to report and the estimated duration of their procedure. Because surgeries vary in length, it is impossible to accurately predict the exact duration of each procedure. Therefore, we ask that patients remain flexible the day of surgery. Some cases may be rescheduled for earlier or later times, in which case patients will be called at home.
