A double room is one room with a double bed, suitable for couples.

The vast majority of students here are assigned to standard double rooms. We do, however, have a handful of rooms that are over-sized and designed to accommodate three students. The fee for these rooms is slightly less. These rooms are not double rooms that have been converted to triples to accommodate overcrowded conditions. Single rooms are scarce on the Midtown campus and in several of our Westside buildings.

The site will show current availability at the selected hotel. If the room types displayed do not match your request it is because the hotel does not have availability for that room type. Our system does not have the ability to pre-select the room type based on the number of travelers so you must make sure that the rooms. Triple and quad occupancy cabins are subject to availability, and require a deposit for each person in the cabin. Triple and quad cabin rates are for third and fourth passengers in the cabin traveling with two full-fare paying passengers. Handicapped cabins are also subject to availability, and are very limited in number. These cabins are usually reserved by individuals who are confined to a wheelchair.

The majority of our incoming students live in quadruple-occupancy rooms (otherwise known as "quads"). Most of our "quad" rooms are located on South Campus (in Roberts, McClure, and Gregory Halls). In these halls, quads are actually two double rooms that are connected by closet spaces and a private bathroom for the four residents of the room.

A double has one large bed (usually a queen size), big enough for two or for one person who likes a lot of room. Triple and quadruple rooms accommodate three and four people respectively. A triple is composed of either a large bed and one single or three single beds while quadruple rooms can have either two large beds or one large bed with two single beds. If your child needs his/her own bed, you will be charged for an extra bed (prices vary depending on the hotel).

Unless otherwise noted, a quad room means quad occupancy. In other words, it would be one room for four people. However, certain properties, such as apartments, are listed as having 2 bedrooms available for quad occupancy, such as private apartments. In the description of each property it will be noted if there is more than one bedroom.
