As a Building Runner, you will receive a “Take Shelter Alert” via email, and you should take action. As far as an “All Clear,” as a rule of thumb, wait 20 minutes, then call Public Safety (2424) to make sure it is all right to send people back to their offices and classrooms. If you have a weather radio in your office, you can take your cues from that regarding a warning and an all-clear.

You have the wires running to/from PeaceMaker reversed. The wire running to the "FROM ALARM" should run to the "TO SIREN" terminal, and the wire running from the "TO SIREN" terminal should instead run from the "FROM ALARM" terminal.

After leaving loud rock concerts, many concert-goers often complain of ringing in their ears. The ringing sound is a result of the destruction of the cilia by the high-volume sounds. Resonating objects often end up damaged or destroyed. Cilia resonate when a sound reaches the hair’s natural frequency. If the sound is extremely loud and goes on for some period of time, it can cause destructive resonance to the cilia and kill it – the ringing sensation is actually the cilia dying.

In our opinion, yes. CYCLONE produces a very high frequency sound that penetrates the seat and can easily be heard from several yards/meters away. The siren blast is not as loud as an average car alarm (making CYCLONE significantly less irritating to your neighbors), but loud enough to alert others to a theft attempt. And to further reduce noise pollution, the 866F has a "soft chirp" feature which drops the volume of confirmation chirps several dB from the full siren blast.

More than likely the phone call you made did not go through to the person you were trying to reach. Try your call again, this time make sure you hang the phone up for at least 5 seconds before picking up the phone and stay on the line for your call to be connected. Frequently, if a person dials too fast, our phone doesn't hear all the digits and returns the siren tones. Slow down the dialling slightly and the call will probably go through.

You are hearing an ionosonde, which is used to probe the Earth's ionosphere. It transmits a signal that sweeps across the radio frequency spectrum. Each time it sweeps past 20.1 MHz it sounds like a chirp in the JOVE receiver. Ionosondes are operated all around the world by various government agencies and research groups.
