The answer to this question is a complex one and again depends heavily on the sect which one refers to. The Hindu tradition includes many belief systems: polytheism, monotheism, monism, dualism, qualified monism and even atheism have all had a part to play in the development of the Hindu phenomenon.

In Hinduism all the various Gods are the representation of one true God (Brahman- seen as a universal spirit). Hence, a Hindu can worship as many Gods and Goddesses as he/ she wants. Hindus believe that God, in whatever form they prefer, can grant worshippers grace to bring them closer to Moksha, end of the cycle of rebirth. Contemporary Hinduism is most widely accepted to consist of a Holy Trinity.

That depends a lot on the individual and the Celtic culture that draws them most strongly. There were hundreds of Celtic Deities from dozens of tribal cultures throughout the early Celtic period. Irish and Scottish Reconstructionists might worship Brighid or the Daghda, the Morrígan or Manannán mac Lir. Welsh Reconstructionists might worship Llew Llaw Gyffes or Cerridwen, or Rhiannon or Gwynn ap Nudd.

Idol worship is not actually mentioned in the Vedas themselves. The practice of idol worship is recommended in the mythological texts (the Puranas) and may also be linked to Buddhist and Jain influences. It has long been widespread amongst most Hindu traditions and is recognised by them as being a valid and proper method of worship.

Hindus don't worship cows. We respect, honor and adore the cow. By honoring this gentle animal, who gives more than she takes, we honor all creatures.

Actually, Hindus believe in only one formless and all-pervading, all-existing, and all-blissful God. That formless God, however, can best be realized by concentrating on various forms of ideal personalities as recorded in the scriptures. In other words, the Hindu religion is flexible and provides many ways to develop one's spiritual ideas in order to suit individual needs. "Unity in the diverse plan of nature" is recognized in the Hindu faith.

Hindus don't particularly worship cows. Another point to consider is not only were gods known by different names, but many of the names were deemed too holy to pronounce aloud. (thus the common oath: "I swear by the god my tribe swears by".) The Tuatha de Danann (Tribe of the Goddess Danu) was the name of the Irish pantheon, for the Gods were descended from Her.

The Religio Romana is a spiritually centered practice that incorporates the worship of earthly and celestial deities and ancestral numen. These deities and spirits are manifestations of a divine presence that is indigenous to the early ancient Romans. These are the Dii Consentes (a group of twelve gods especially worshipped by the Romans,) Dii Lares (household and family numen,) Dii Indigites (minor, ancestral and tutelary deities,) and the Dii Novensiles (foreign deities.)

Why should God be only Father in heaven, why not Mother in heaven?' This is called pluralism. Hinduism recognises that the same Ultimate Reality (addressed sometimes as God) can be thought of and approached in a variety of different ways. Hence Hinduism is a vast body of sectarian movements promoting different pathways to the same Ultimate. Hindus accept these different sectarian bodies within its fold as the valid but different pathways leading to the same goal.

Hindu religious lore and practice regards the cow as specially sacred and worthy of worship. Demihumans can and do worship human gods. Such practices have been depicted time and time again in Forgotten Realms products, particularly the novels.

In the Arician Tradition, we worship a pantheon that is different from the urban gods of the Romans. Some of those deities were shared, however, with the Latins, and some with the Etruscans, and some of them are in our pantheon, most notably Diana, whose worship was focused at a temple at Lake Nemi in the Alban Hills. Our principle name for the Goddess and God is Uni and Tagni, taken from the Etruscans.

The Bible mentions the presence of "teraphim," which are household idols/gods in the house of Laban. At the time of the story, a whole pantheon of gods and goddesses were worshipped. The notion of monotheism grew out of this context, in which the family god or El (a generic name for "god") of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, co-existed with other gods. From a Jewish/Christian perspective, this is long before Sinai and the Ten Utterances, which command "You shall have no other gods before me.

There are as many ways of worship as there are traditions of the Craft. Most rituals involve consecration of the ritual space in some way ("Casting the Circle"), invocation of a Deity or Deities, and a communal meal. Rituals can include music and/or dancing, poetry, masquing and drama (often in enactments of myth), sometimes with props and special effects.
