Students must satisfy the THEA or an approved alternative test before enrolling in college level courses unless otherwise exempt or waived.

Our goal for students is academic success. At Brookhaven College THEA scores are used as an assessment and/or placement tool. The minimum passing THEA score in math is 230 which equates to completion of our DMAT 0097 course. The college-level standard score, as defined by the state, is 270. For this reason, you will be required to take developmental math courses if you have passed THEA with a score below 270.

Reading 230, Math 230, Writing 220 (Teacher certification requires a Reading score of 250 before a student may intern.)

Quick THEA allows for a “quick,” hassle-free registration. Quick THEA is the official THEA test given on days and times convenient for both individual schools and their students. Only current Brookhaven College students are allowed to register for the Quick THEA in the Advising Center. A $29 fee is paid the day of the test. Test results are normally available within two weeks. The regular THEA is given six times a year on the dates listed in the THEA Registration Bulletin.

THEA is waived if the student is enrolled in a certificate program that is 42 semester hours or less. Student is exempt if (l) 3 college hours were completed prior to the Fall of 1989, (2) student has earned a Bachelors Degree, or (3) student has reached a designated level on the ACT, SAT, or TAAS test within a designated time period.

TASP/THEA status must be "Passed" in all three areas (Reading, Writing & Math), or the student must be TSI complete in all three areas by some other means (see an advisor or counselor).

Lee College administers the THEA test at least once each month. Students are advised to contact the Counseling Center for exact dates and times. Score results will be mailed to the student’s home and should arrive one to three weeks after testing. The College has ways in which you will be able to demonstrate that you are ready for college level work. This may include developmental courses and retesting.

During each billing cycle, only one invoice is generated per student. If you require that bills be sent to more than one address, we suggest that the invoice be sent to you. Additional invoices can be sent to you upon request. You can then forward copies to whatever address you wish. If all or part of your educational expenses should be billed to a sponsor, government or company, the Bursar's Office needs to be notified and a voucher or promissory letter must be provided.

You will need to file a Form 144 (provided in the Rule144Solution.com form set), and perhaps a Form 4 if you an affiliate (also included) by mailing a signed original and two copies to the SEC at the address on the form. Your broker may do this for you, so it is assured the Form 144 is filed.
