We look at every client before piercing to decide if the they have the correct anatomy to have their piercing heal well. We could pierce anyone, should we? Some people just don't have good anatomy to heal without scarrring or rejection, and we will be honest with you and educate you as to the risks associated with your anatomy.

If your body has rejected one piercing, this does not necessarily mean that it will reject every piercing you have or even reject the same piercing if you choose to try it again. By using a different material, placement, jewellery size or even aftercare we can quite often achieve a successful piercing. Genital piercings are intended for sexual enhancement. Be certain that the jewelry is the right size and style so that that purpose is served. A new piercing can provide a pathway to infection carried by bodily fluids. Condoms or Dental Dams should always be used when appropriate during the healing process. Wait on piercing of the nipples if you are breast feeding. Nothing should interfere with caring for your baby.

If it's a piercing that has a cultural history, you can be pretty sure it's safe even when you barely understand the relevant anatomy. That is, if this piercing has been done for thousands of years, it's probably inside the range of what can be attempted by an amateur. This includes the basic ear piercings, nose piercings, lip piercings, and many of the basic genital piercings.

You can't. Setting up a studio at home where you can safely pierce your friends is a venture that requires at least a thousand dollar investment, if not far more. There is no way for you to reasonably do this. If you want to pierce your friends, become a piercer.

NO!!! Body Piercing should never, ever be done with a gun. There is no way to completely sterilize a piercing gun between uses. Earring studs are not designed to fit in piercings besides ears, and are not appropriate.

The vaccine or medication is forced under pressure through a tiny, sapphire crystal orifice just .008" or .010" in diameter (both orifices are provided with the unit). The pressurized medication exits in a thin jet with sufficient force to enter the skin. By adjusting the pressure, injections are placed at a pre- selected depth including intradermal, subcutaneous and intramuscular.

Most people are still growing until the late teen years, which can affect the healing process as well as placement of the piercing. As the body grows, the skin stretches, sometimes this can cause the jewelry to shift (migrate), so it ends up in a different placement than when originally pierced. For the love of all that is holey... no. While you can see the dot for the piercing better, you can't possibly see what's under the tongue that you're piercing from the top. When I line up my forceps correctly, there's no way I am going to puncture or sever something I shouldn't. PLUS, I won't miss where I want to pierce since I have my forceps lined up.

First and foremost, alcohol thins the blood, which can complicate the healing process. Secondly, drugs and alcohol can impair judgment. Also it is forbidden by the NE State regulations.

I am no longer operating a retail business (and I've moved to Mexico) so I am no longer training any apprentices. But please read on: I have had a great deal of experience during my lengthy piercing career in training my employees to pierce. I can tell you that it takes perhaps a year or longer, and literally hundreds of piercings done under close and constant expert supervision before someone is a skilled piercer. I cannot emphasize enough... NO! Sewing needles are for sewing and safety pins are for making clothes look groovy. Sterile, tri-bevel, hollow piercing needles are the only way to go. Needles, of course should be put in a sterlie pack and sterilized in an autoclave and used one time only. NO SHARING! That's so dangerous. Is it really worth getting hepatitis or HIV/AIDS? The metal of a sewing machine needle or a safety pin is also not very good to put in your skin.

Hi Kellie. My daughter (20) married her high school sweetheart on January 3, 2004. They wanted to start a family immediately. Well, my daughter had a miserable pregnancy from conception. She didn't have morning sickness - she had ALL DAY/NIGHT sickness. She couldn't eat or drink anything.
