Our standard jib cranes are designed for indoor use. We can provide special shielding on the jib for outdoor use. Special maintenance will be required for jibs used outdoors. Please contact us for details and pricing.

Most of our standard jib cranes have a 2-week lead-time. Other time requirements apply to special or modified cranes and our large jib cranes. Please contact us for lead times on specific products. The rated capacity of the jib is the maximum "live load" the jib can pick up. A typical hoist and trolley weight is assumed and added to the rated capacity for design purposes. These assumed weights are 15% of the rated capacity and are not considered part of the "live load".

CFLs can be used in outdoor fixtures provided that they are not exposed to the elements (rain or snow). They can also operate in temperatures as low as –15oC (-5oF).

The only foundation mounting Contrx recommends is the one shown on the approval drawing supplied with the crane. The adequacy of any other method of mounting must be determined by a qualified person.

The wall jib must be mounted to a structure determined by a qualified person to be adequate. The thrust and pull forces given for each jib, the weight of the jib, the capacity, impact, and hoist weight are some of the factors that must be taken into consideration.

Contrx Industries manufactures its floor and wall mount jib cranes according to the design specifications and standards of the American Institute of Steel Construction and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, as applicable.

Please do not! Indoor lotions usually DO NOT contain SPF, which will leave you with no sun protection from the sun's UV rays. Outdoor UV rays can vary daily even hourly in intensity. It is recommended you use a SPF while tanning outdoors.

The data from the GPS receiver (coordinates and heading) is always available and you can always get a map with a surrounding area. In the future we will look into the possibility of providing sea maps.

Our systems are well suited for indoor, greenhouse, or outdoor use. With virtually no exposed grow media, all nutrient liquid is contained within the unit and is available for use by the plant. We recommend that if you require the scoreboard for outdoor use, that you first consider the Seven Segment or Flip Dot display scoreboard because of the light reflective properties of the digits and wide viewing angles. However, we also can supply LED scoreboards for outdoor use that use high brightness LED's, but this will not give the wide viewing angles that are available with the seven segment displays or flip dot display units and bright daylight conditions could affect the visibility.

stated above, our sconces are rated for "damp location only" and as such can only be used outdoors where they will be under cover. This is a UL designation and its application is up to the buyer. Obviously, there are places in the world where direct rain impingement is not really a consideration.

Seek areas away from city or home lights and give your eyes a few minutes to get adapted to the dark. Whenever stars are readily visible, Jasper's beam is easily seen. Don't shine Jasper at the horizon unless you are certain that no houses or people are within the area. While Jasper's light is fun for those using it, others may find it annoying or distracting.

Floor mounted jibs require a concrete foundation with reinforcing steel rods and anchor bolts embedded in the concrete. The wall-mounted jibs require mounting bolts (12). These bolts must be no less than Grade 5 quality. The size is specified on the approval drawing, and ranges from ?" diameter to ?" diameter. Usually a minimum of a man-lift and a forklift truck are required to install the cranes.

Most Tablet PCs won't be readable outdoors in bright light. Some available models have an option for an indoor/outdoor display, such as Fujitsu, Motion, and some ruggedized models. If you use a computer in bright lights or outdoors, these screens are highly recommended.

To get the best area coverage put the SW905 on a tripod. You may also put the unit on a raised platform. When the unit is placed on the ground, the usable range is reduced.
