Depending on your e-mail program, you should also be able to control which messages are visible in your Inbox through the use of "filters." The most recent version of Netscape Communicator offers filtering capability, as do Eudora, Pegasus and Microsoft Outlook. There is no limit to the amount of emails that can be stored. However, it is considered good email etiquette to delete historical emails that are not viewed on a regular basis. Good question - and it's one without a short answer, because spammers (like hackers and virus writers) are always trying to stay one step ahead of the game. The simplest way, if your mail program supports it (e.g. outlook express) is to add some filters and use your "blocked senders" list. Most of the newer e-mail clients have filtering capabilities. Since most spam comes with your e-mail address in the bcc: field, you can filter the bulk of the UCE by filtering out any mail that does not have your e-mail address contained in the To: or cc: fields. One possible problem is that one of your ifile executables is not in the PATH of the environment under which your mail client runs. One telltale sign of this problem is that the mail messages which are filtered to your inbox will have the header "X-filter: => inbox". Either you don't have any new emails in your mailbox or you have download them using your email client (Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger etc) on to your computer. This normally happens when you are using an email-id as a POP3 account as well as through Webmail.
