There is no one "right way" to build a mousetrap powered vehicle. The best approach is to apply your best understanding of the laws of physics without over exaggerating any one concept to your design. To build the "perfect" mousetrap racer you must try and find a harmonious balance between all the elements and variable that will affect a mouse trap vehicles performance.

Place traps and baits perpendicular to the wall and in dark corners, such as behind the stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer or where rodent activity is seen. It is wise to set baits and traps simultaneously in various spots in the home to ensure better control of the problem.

His has a new system that he feels will even double that distance, we will have to wait and see the final results. The more you can reduce or eliminate friction, the farther your racer will travel. In a perfect universe, a mousetrap vehicle will travel forever, just like an object thrown in space should travel forever or until it hits something.

The M130 Quick Set traps may be over-baited. Try to use the very least amount of bait possible in any style mouse trap you use. Strangely, the more bait you use, the easier it is for these nimble creatures to remove it without disturbing the traps. Try to make them struggle to get the bait, and in doing so, apply extra force to the trigger pedal with their nose/tongue to remove the bait. This technique alone will often result in a catch.

Motomco Mouse Snap Traps are designed to be set and placed perpendicular to walls or other objects WITHOUT being baited. As mice travel between their food source and nesting areas they will run through the trap and be captured. Baiting the trap can reduce its overall effectiveness for capturing mice. Powered bottoms are available as options on some Jupiter and DaVinci kilns. They are not available on the Easy-Fire kilns. We recommend this option for a few different reasons. On very large kilns such as the T3400 Series, where you could get a cold spot in the floor, a powered bottom will improve uniformity. To decrease cycle time and add KW to the kiln - not normally an issue with ceramics but it can be for some industrial processes.
