Change your computer display's video settings to show High Color or True Color (more than 256 colors). Refer to the documentation that came with your computer or to the Windows help system (search for help on Display, Color Resolution or Color Depth) for further details about changing the Display settings for your computer. If you have noticeable grain or speckles on your film-derived prints it’s very probable that your negatives are highly underexposed (ie: they were not exposed to sufficient light). When photo printing machines encounter underexposed negatives they tend to boost the brightness to compensate, which tends to reveal bad speckly grain. Take a look at your negatives by holding them up to the light. If they seem very transparent and light then they’re underexposed.

Is your monitor set to display more than 256 colors? Take a look at the two pictures above: if they look the same to you, there is a good chance that your monitor is not set up to display more than 256 colors. On the Macintosh, use the Monitors & Sounds control panel to configure for thousands or millions of colors. In Windows, right-click on the desktop, select Properties from the pop-up menu, and choose the Settings tab.

You've probably set your video display to use only 256 colors (8 bits per pixel). For the best appearance, set your video display to use thousands or millions of colors (16 or 24 bits per pixel).

You probably have the Digibox UHF output tuned on top of a Digital terrestrial channel. Try disconnecting the terrestrial aerial to see if this cures the fault. If it does, retune the UHF output channel (see previous question).

Fan sites are great for checking a particular star as usually they will have gallery full of them. GettyImages, Photoshot.com, WireImage.com, Corbis.com, DailyCeleb.com are some good sites aswell.

This website is optimized for computer monitors displaying at least 800 by 600 pixels at 24 bit color (16.7 million colors). On a Windows-based computer, you may change your display settings by going to the Start menu and choosing Control Panel --> Display --> Settings. Make sure that your display resolution is set to at least 800 x 600 pixels at 24 bit color. If the images still look dark, then please see below.

Personally, I find picons cute but a waste of time/space. However, someone did contribute a configuration for tkbiff that displayed pictures (src). It appears to understand picons although I haven't actually looked at the code to see how it works. Note that it's based on an older version of tkbiff, but I don't think the changes to the config file were major.

The amount of detail that the camera can capture is called the resolution, and it is measured in pixels. The more pixels a camera has, the more detail it can capture and the larger pictures can be without becoming blurry or "grainy." x256 - Found on very cheap cameras, this resolution is so low that the picture quality is almost always unacceptable. This is 65,000 total pixels. x480 - This is the low end on most "real" cameras.

To view archived WebCam images you need to be a member of the Bonaire WebCams. Basic (free) members can look one hour into the past at archived images, while paid members have access to the entire image archive. We have archived all images since December 1, 2000, excluding dark images with no content and occasional images lost due to communications and technical glitches.

If one particular picture posted to this group looks faulty, but the rest of them look fine, then its most likely a problem with that particular picture, or with the poster's Usenet program. But if *all* the pictures look bad, then your Usenet reader may be set to display messages in a proportional font (see Question 5). If there are a lot of almost-blank lines in the picture, then the message is probably suffering from 'wrapping'.

The cards we make for our boards are usually stamped with black Colorbox, embossed with detail clear or black embossing powder and colored using Tombow markers. Then, we lightly chalk the backgrounds of the cards. We love to use many layers of papers to enhance the images. Just think of framing a picture and using different colors and textures of paper to bring out the colors of your design. Several of our favorite paper companies are Bazzill, Worldwind, and Lasting Impressions.

This is a problem at low light levels, and may be also due to subtle bugs in the code. The cause is most likely the OV7610 settings we are currently using. I am looking into this problem. Some of this is caused by the older technologies and manufacturing processes used in the OV7610 and OV7620AE. The OV7620 is much better about this.

The ImmerVision PurePlayer viewer automatically downsizes the image if your computer has insufficient free memory to display the full size image. Check that you do not have multiple panoramas open at once, or other Java applets open on other websites. When you open the panorama in a window you get a lower resolution version of the panorama - you can click the button to view full-screen, but the image may look pixelated.

Saving your photo story using a profile with a higher resolution can help prevent the grainy effect. You can change the resolution by choosing Settings on the Save your story page. The higher profiles contain better resolution of the pictures. The higher the resolution, the more system resources required to playback the story. This can make the story appear jerky if the computer does not have enough system resources to handle high resolution video.

Yes, you can view one still picture or you can view your pictures in a slide show mode. You can select the time interval between pictures (the Slide Show Rate) when displayed in a slide show. The Slide Show Rate applies only to pictures stored in the Frame's internal memory. Pictures from a COMPACTFLASH Card will display at a rate dependent on their resolution.

The frame stores up to 36 VGA (640 x 480) pictures in the JPEG (.jpg) file format. If higher resolution pictures are uploaded to the Frame, they are compressed to 640 x 480 for display on the Frame. However, a record is kept of this compression for future print orders. If you have a COMPACTFLASH Card inserted in the Frame, you can potentially display hundreds of pictures depending on the COMPACTFLASH Cards capacity. The COMPACTFLASH Card provides the additional storage capacity.

In order for your images to display, they need to be up to a maximum of 400kb(kilobytes) and 500 pixels in size. Due to the nature of different software and camera packages, we cannot list a full set of instructions on how to resize your images, so please consult your software user guide. We have now provided a link to Microsoft's Powertoys Image Resizer, to allow you to resize images easily and quickly. Open the folder that contains the pictures you want to resize.
