In order to qualify for Medicare benefits, an individual must reach age 65 and enroll in the program. Medicare is comprised of two parts: Part A (hospitalization) and Part B (medical services). Generally, individuals turning age 65 who already receive social security benefits as well as those who have received social security disability benefits for two years automatically qualify for Medicare. Other individuals must file an application.

A new special enrollment period will begin November 15 and end December 31, 2006.  Coverage will begin January 1, 2007.  Persons who should have enrolled prior to May 15, 2006 because they didn't have coverage at least as good as standard Medicare prescription drug coverage but did not enroll will be charged a higher monthly Part D premium of one percent per month for each month when they should have enrolled.

Complete a simple, one-page application at a participating provider’s office. Providers must fax proof of income, citizenship and identity to the Women’s Health Program at 1-866-993-9971. For more information about required verification documents, visit the Women’s Health Program web page at www.hhsc.state.tx.us/womenshealth.htm. When scheduling appointments, providers should advise patients to bring these documents with them to avoid delays in the application process.

Once you enroll, you can use our Program services for as long as you are eligible. If for any reason you take time off from the Program, you can use services again at any time without having to re-enroll as long as you are still eligible. Ans. The student may enroll at any time, day or month, of the year, in Bethany's off-campus program of study. On-campus students enroll for the fall semester in August and the spring semester in January. On-campus semesters are 16 weeks in duration.

The registration fee is $325 per student and is due at the time of registration. There is a discount applied when enrolling sibling groups.
