The Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number is a unique nine digit identification number provided by the commercial company Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). Additional information is available at ( http://www.grants.gov/RequestaDUNS ). A DUNS number is required on all applications for direct Federal awards. Beginning with fiscal periods ending in 2004, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requests, but does not require the reporting of DUNS number(s) on all Form SF-SAC submissions.
