posted by Edward Davis edavis@openmarket.com you find the 'remotelog' stuff in the raptor directories stick remotelog on another server the go to raptorfirewall and run rempass to let that other server access logfiles then run remotelog towards the firewall and it sucks the entire log or yesterdays log over to your box. works great as for FTP, you simply set up normal NT scripting on the raptor firewall and allow vulture to allow ftp, and PUMP the log off the firewall.

To access via web through the Exchange interface, enter the following url into a browser:http://owa.nomedominio.ext then enter your email and the password you chose when you activated your Exchange account in the form.

Microsoft provides OWA as part of the Exchange Server, allowing users to connect remotely via a Web browser such as Internet Explorer. OWA offers most of the same functionality as Outlook 2003. It looks very similar, and, crucially, lets you see the same e-mail, calendaring, address books, etc. as you would see when using Outlook on your office PC.

Answer: The "native" Outlook client and Outlook Web Access (OWA) allow you to access your email account and other services on the Exchange server. Microsoft Outlook is the primary client for Microsoft Exchange Server. It is designed to operate as an independent personal information manager (PIM), an Internet mail client, or in conjunction with the Microsoft Exchange Server for group scheduling, email, and task management.

OWA is always slightly slower than a direct connection using the Outlook client. The Outlook client connects directly to a back-end server where the mailbox data is stored. However, OWA communicates first with a "front-end" server which then relays requests to the "back-end" server. This is a security feature that enables us to never expose our critical back-end servers directly to the Internet.

When using OWA, sometimes I have more features - the preview pane, an expandable folder tree, Rules, pop-up notifications, monthly calendar view, etc. - and sometimes I don't. Why? (What is the difference between "Premium" OWA and "Basic"?)

The SpamBayes Outlook plug-in simply watches the folders that you have instructed it to for new mail. When new mail is received, Outlook informs SpamBayes, which then scores the message and performs the actions you have asked it to, depending on the message score.
