I have been riding off and on for 30 years. For a considerable period during that time, a motorcycle was my primary means of transportation year 'round. I have had a couple small Hondas, a Triumph, a BSA Lightning (my all-time favorite bike), three Yamahas, a Harley-Davidson Sportster, and a Buell S3 Thunderbolt. I am currently riding a H-D Super Glide Sport.

I always knew I would do a long ride. When I started thinking about last year’s trip, it was just a perfect time in my life. I had sold my dance studio and I had no other responsibilities. I was training horses for the McCurry’s when the idea popped into my head. And it would just not go away. I kept trying to talk myself out of it and couldn’t. I just didn’t believe the doubts I would try and convince myself I should have.

If students do not ride the bus, they may walk (there is a crossing guard on Grove Street) and students in grades 3-5 may ride bikes if they wear helmets and parents show the students a safe route. There is a bike rack in front of the school. Students may not skate, skateboard or roller blade to school nor are these items allowed at school.

Like learning to climb a hill, you will need to train for a while until you are able to keep up. Don't expect to just hop on and go as fast as you used to, or you'll be disappointed. Rest assured, eventually you'll be able to keep up. And, you'll be a lot more comfortable than they are! It also depends on the type of recumbent you ride. Some models are more comfort-oriented, while others are designed for speed.

Yes! We offer top-of-the-line custom made 27-speed Cannondale hybrid bicycles for rent. You have your choice of handlebar type, toeclips, and men's or women's frames. The bikes come fully loaded with a suspension seat post, hydraulic brakes and easy to reach Shimano grip-shifters (STI-shift on drop handlebars). Each has a bike computer, water bottle, and handlebar bag with shoulder strap and map case. We also offer tandem bicycles and attachable trailer bikes for children.

In Mauville City, to the right of the PokeCenter is a bike shop, head in there and talk to the man on the left. If you choose the top option, he will give you the Mach Bike, choose the bottom option and you have the Acro bike. You can change bikes by talking to him again. The Mach Bike allows you to get over cracks and up mudslides. You must be at top speed to get over the cracks and up the mudslides, so start off at a distance and hold down the direction button.

This depends on you. There will be guided valley rides, shuttle trips & bike park access every day giving you the option of riding for 5-6 hours per day (10 hours in the park some days!)

Answer: If the "pocket bike" has an engine displacement of 50cc's or less, produces 2.0 brake horsepower or less, is capable of a top speed of no more than 30 mph, and the operator is not required/allowed to shift gears, then it may be legally classified as a moped. The document titled "Moped Requirements" lists the operational and equipment requirements for such motor vehicles. Most "pocket bikes" will not meet those requirements and therefore will not be street legal.

Depending on the tour, we provide hybrid (road) bikes or mountain bikes (Mountain bikes are either Hardtails - front suspension only) or Softails - full suspension.

Folding bikes must be in the folded position prior to boarding and must remain under the control of the owner while on board. Folding bikes must be able to be stored under the seat in front of you or be placed in the luggage racks provided by Caltrain. Folding bikes may not be placed on seats and must not block aisles, stairs or vestibules. Folding bikes may not be stored in the space reserved for passengers wheelchairs.

One of the featured events at each Annual Meet is a day devoted to "Century" rides in which Wheelmen ride their old machines 100 miles in one day. Centuries are also featured in many of our other meets. Some Wheelmen opt for doing a "quarter-century" or 25 miles.

Tommie and Karen grew up around horses and can't remember a time when they weren't doing something with them. When they were kids, they spent most of their free time with horses. They've learned to develop training and riding techniques to prepare them for the incredible feats and riding skills they perform in front of audiences around the world.

Given your weight and the weight of the saddle you don't want to add too much more. Use small saddlebags(6" x 6" bags are big enough). Keep in mind also that because the weakest part of the animal's back is at the back of the saddle you don't want to put any significant weight there - ideally no more than that of a slicker or jacket.

Everyone can be helped by reviewing the basics. If this is remedial for you racers, just skip it. :-) Just thought I'd post a few things I've learnt lately regarding riding techniques and suspension set up on Triumphs. Recently we sold a 95 Sprint to a local guy and his wife. They loved it at first, but soon Gill, the guy's partner was telling us that Rick was feeling ill at ease on the bike. One Saturday we organised a shop promotional ride and I followed Rick for a spell.

Experienced riders and fit, willing novices go well together on our trips. We fit the horse to the rider's abilily and give you lots of leeway in terms of how, when and where you ride. These are not nose to tail trail rides; you can ride as much or as little as necessary to get to camp at days end.
