If you are presenting for a PPPM class, PPPM Department has two LCD projectors with PC laptops available specifically for PPPM student presentations or faculty teaching use in our own classes and special events. Please come by or call Zudegi in the Dept. Office to reserve this equipment (room 119, 346-3635). If you are presenting for a CPW or other CSC project, the CSC has projectors and laptops for checkout. See Linda White in Room 111 (346-3889).

There will be a computer with a 3 1/2" floppy drive and CD Rom connected to an LCD Projector (Beamer, 1024 X 768 Resolution). MS PowerPoint and Adobe Reader will be installed on the computer.

First, you will need to provide a sound system and microphone (preferably a lapel mike) for our presenter. Second, our presenters use their own laptop computers to show a presentation which is very important to the success of the seminar. You will need to provide a screen, and in some cases, a projector. Our presenters can also plug their computers into the church’s fixed projection system as long as they are able to keep their computer near enough so that they can operate it.

All A/V equipment and services can be requested on the Room Request form within the SPO*TS online system. Standard A/V equipment, such as an LCD projector, is no charge to UPHS departments in SPO managed public spaces between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Production services, such as videotaping or ISDN Video Conference, require a dedicated technician and incur hourly charges and related fees.

Yes, we can loan projectors, laser pointers, screens, slide projectors and a host of other equipment for classroom use at the Reading campus. Notify your faculty member and they can request what you need from the Media Services Department (610-921-7207).

With the ease of use of today's software, most staff are able to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create basic presentations. However, a staff members main job description might not include creating high end visual presentations, speaker support presentations, or sales presentations. The presentation that they put together may not have a very professional feel or take on a simplistic and straight forward approach.

Yes! Overhead projectors, VCR's, and projectors, that run off of a PC for uses with programs such as MS PowerPoint, are available. All of these are limited in availability and require prior reservation at the front desk. Please try to reserve these machines early, as the demand is high. Please cooperate with other faculty.

Call the CET at 273-7913 to reserve equipment or call 273-2342 to speak to the manager, Don Perry. Equipment also can be checked out of Room 113 in the lower level of the CET Building. Please call ahead to make sure the equipment is available. ITS will deliver equipment to the department office only, if the instructor calls ahead of time. In addition, the Library has laptop computers that are available for checkout to faculty.

We have an overhead projector that one can borrow for one week with a library card in good standing. We have no other equipment to lend out. If you are using the Meeting Rooms and require equipment please ask the Circulation Desk for more information. We require a $10 deposit that is refunded upon return.

Equipment classes at the Fitness Factory will be done using the Pilates Allegro Reformer. The Reformer will do wonders for your hips and thighs and educate you about your posture to help build a smarter, stronger, and more balanced body. Intensity of exercises vary based on experience; however, a basic equipment class will cover 10-11 exercises done rhythmically with an emphasis on breath and form.

PowerPC chips are fast enough so that they should be able to do Digital Signal Processing (DSP) without an additional chip. However, in order to keep PowerPC within reach of low end buyers, Apple is not including A/V technologies in its lowest end PowerMacs. MacWeek reports the PPC A/V machines, code named "TNT," will be able to drive a color monitor and a NTSC television monitor simultaneously. TNT machines are likely candidates to receive PCI busses.
