Our sod cloth is a 10" wide turn in that is sewn on to the bottom of the tent and flaps into the inside. The ground cloth is usually the same size as the bottom of your tent and goes on top of your sod cloth. A ground cloth is a separate piece of canvas, while a sod cloth is sewn on to your tent.

Surface water is water found over the land surface in streams, ponds, marshes, lakes or other fresh (not salty) sources. Ground water is water occurring in the zone of saturation in an aquifer or soil. Other than the location, one of the primary differences between surface and ground water is that ground water moves much slower than surface water.

If you have a Panther Super Ground cloth your ground cloth is protected by a layer of plastic sewn on to the bottom that will protect the canvas. If you have a regular canvas ground cloth, lay a piece of plastic on the ground under your ground cloth. While your canvas is mildew repellant, it's not mildew proof. A ground cloth lying on the damp ground for a week creates the perfect conditions for mildew and rot.

We can add sod cloth to a tent. Just return it to us and we'll add it for the current price that's in the catalog for sod cloth. You'll also have the cost of shipping the tent both ways. Other options like overlapping facing or extra doors can sometimes be added. Sometimes it's so much extra work to add an option after the tent is made that it would be too costly to make the change. There is a lot of labor in ripping out seams.

There are two basic grades of cloth for a pool table. The pool table ‘felt’ is not felt at all, but rather a woven fabric. Some cloths are available with a wool / nylon blend, with speed cloths normally developed in this way. These cloths would tyopically comprise of about 80% wool and 20% nylon content. Wool / nylon mixed cloths are normally used on American Pool tables only and are often known as speed cloths.

Vinyl tops are made with a vinyl exterior and a cloth interior backing. Cloth toppings are a definite aesthetic upgrade to vinyl toppings, but they can be harder to keep clean. The Stayfast is a very good quality material. The Sonnedecke Cloth is Haartz' version of the German Cloth and is a very good match- very high quality. It is argued that the Sonnedecke is a tighter weave than the German cloth and thus a better material.

I cut the "blank stock" using a quilter's tool -- cutting mat, straightedge, and "Olfa" cutter (looks like a pizza cutter, but MUCH sharper). That way, I could cut through about 5 layers of cloth at once. Be sure to learn how best to cut fabric from a QUILTER, so you don't waste any cloth .

In a “ground set” there is minimal excavating done to allow for the construction of the prepared pad onto which the home is placed and blocked. In most cases this is a concrete slab. The bottom of the frame is then set to allow for a crawl space area in the case of repairs and to assist in ventilation. Site conditions, such as high water tables etc., may require a ground set. In most cases this type of home placement is less expensive than a “pit set”.

SpaCloth comes in two variations. The Yellow/Green striped and Pink/Purple striped cloths are gentler and suitable for everybody. The White cloth is a little more astringent, providing for a more effective exfoliation. It's perfect for people who really like their skin to feel clean, but may be a little rough for some. The White cloth's tighter weave is more expensive for us to produce and thus, it is slightly more expensive.
