No. All our paint booths are manufactured to be assembled and operated in an enclosed area away from the weather. An additional building structure is required for an outside location.

Our spray booths are manufactured and designed for code approval. All models are manufactured from materials that meet the National Board of Fire Underwriters, as recommended by the 2003 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA33) requirements. They are also built within OSHA guidelines. We advise you to check with your local authorities as to any "local" electrical or fire codes that may apply. The electrical components within the booth are UL-listed, but booth itself is not UL-rated.

We supply all the basic items that the majority of suppliers provide. However, there are a few items that we do not supply. These include 48" fluorescent light bulbs (because they are prone to breakage in shipping) and electrical wiring kits (starter, switches, conduit, etc). Wiring codes vary widely from state to state and even from county to county. We have found it is just more cost effective for our customers to have a licensed electrician to provide all the necessary components.

Aside from local legalities (which vary from region to region), good results can be had outside. The one benefit is outstanding lighting. The downfalls are: one can't spray in direct sunlight, it'll warm the surface and inhibit proper flow. The weather can't be predicted either -- I've seen rain suddenly break out when the last coat was going on, or wind kicks up and blows dust into the paint. A falling leaf landing on a freshly painted hood doesn't look good either.

Our mats can be used outside, but because of the UV effect on ALL RUBBER PRODUCTS, the mat will harden over time. Our mats will not rot, crumble, or deteriorate in any other fashion.

The paint finishes used on our panels are the highest quality. We start out with a high-tensile steel. We then coat it with a Galvalume 55% zinc, 45% aluminum coating. They are next pre-treated with primer, and then finally coated with a high quality baked-on enamel paint system.

A high temperature paint specifically formulated for use on stoves is used. They have a matt finish, we offer as standard 6 choices of colour as shown on the "stove" page. The stove will emit an unpleasant odour during the first couple of firings, this is the paint "curing off" - this is quite normal.

Traditional Chinese paints are used. Strictly speaking it's not paint as it's water based paints colored with vegetable dyes mixed together with certain types of inks.

Strawmark construction is a breathable wall system and as such, must be painted with breathable paints. Mineral paints are used both for interior and exterior, limewash paints can only be used internally.
