What is LoDI?

Line of Duty Injury payments are authorized payments made, pursuant to statute, to eligible uniformed members of the City's Correction, Fire, Police and Sanitation departments who were out of work as a result of an injury which occurred in the line of duty.

What is the LoDI FICA Refund Claim?
Office of Payroll AdministrationThe City has filed refund claims for both the employer's and employees' share of the FICA taxes paid on LoDI payments received by eligible uniformed members of the City's Correction, Fire, Police and Sanitation departments for a period of six months or less for the years 1989 through 2005.
What are the terms of your rental contract with the City of Lodi?
World of Wonders Science Museum - Lodi, CAUpon execution of the contract, we have a set amount of time to raise our initial funding goals. If we are unable to raise this in the allotted time, we are back to square one. When the initial money has been raised, a portion of that money will be held as a deposit by the City. The remaining portion will be used towards tenant improvements such as HVAC, painting, flooring, etc. We expect this phase to take about six months to complete.
When will the IRS send the LoDI refund monies to the City?
Office of Payroll AdministrationWe anticipate that it will take at least six months from the time the City submits the employee consents form to the IRS until the IRS begins to pay the refunds to the City. We also anticipate that these payments will be made by individual year, not in one lump sum.
I received LoDI payments during the year 2006, will I get a refund?
Office of Payroll AdministrationFor tax year 2006, the City as part of its W-2 processing will ensure that authorized LoDI payments are reflected properly on your W-2 form. The employees’ share of the FICA taxes paid on LoDI payments will be issued by the NYC Office of Payroll Administration no later than April, 2007.
