No one can promise that participation in a residential drug rehab will induce sobriety, but no other drug treatment program offers as great a probability of successful recovery. Between 40% and 60% of participants in drug rehab leave the program to lead better lives of complete sobriety; some others may eventually relapse and need some degree of additional therapy; and some recovering addicts may need to undergo a residential program more than once.

No. You just have to give it a try, putting your analytical mind on hold, and preferably try it more than just once. Skill improves with practice. But a lot of skeptics end up doing quite well with imagery.

For the first two assignments, it’s probably easiest to just do them in the McConnell cluster, even if you have your own computer. These assignments involve access to file servers that you cannot access from home, and they require access to Windows, Macintosh, and Unix computers. (All of which are available in the McConnell cluster.) If you have a computer at home or work, you may be able to do a significant part of the remaining course work from there.

Some types of proceedings are formulaic and predictable, and can be dull. Sometimes the work is thoroughly fascinating, exciting, dramatic, challenging, stimulating, and fun. Not infrequently it is exhausting and stressful (imagine interpreting at the war crimes tribunal in Bosnia, or at the O.J. trial). But if you ask around, you will undoubtedly find that most interpreters will tell you they enjoy their work.
