Oswego will accept College-Level Examination Placement (CLEP), Advanced Placement and Military credit. To receive credit for both AP and CLEP, a student must provide an official AP/CLEP transcript. To determine specific scores necessary consult the Oswego Proficiency Examination Program or contact the Office of Admissions (315.312.2250). IPFW awards credit for Advanced Placement Examinations (AP), and College-Level Examination Programs (CLEP) on the basis of policy established by the department accepting the credit. Consult with your general studies advisor for specific scores and tests that will apply to your degree program.

Saint Anselm College participates in the Advanced Placement Program of the College Entrance Examination Board.  Students who receive a grade of  "3" or better in the Advanced Placement Examinations may be granted advanced placement and credit in the appropriate subject.  Saint Anselm College recognizes credit earned through the Inernational Baccalaureate (IB).  Of the two IB examinations where a score of 5, 6, or 7 has been achieved.

Providence College participates in the Advanced Placement Program and does award students who demonstrate exceptional performance in the particular area of study. Students who score a 4 or 5 in the Government and Politics U.S. exam would be able to use those credits towards a social science core or free elective. Students who scored a 4 or 5 on the Comparative Government and Politics exam may transfer these credits to fulfill one political science elective or social science core.

External Credit is granted for non-collegiate education programs that the College has judged comparable in content and quality with specific courses or areas taught in its departments. A list of approved programs is available in the Office of the Registrar.

If you take an AP exam during your senior year and request that it be sent to Iowa State University, we will receive your scores in July. Once you receive your scores, contact your academic advisor at Iowa State University to discuss your options for courses to take.

No, WCU policy does not permit the granting of graduate-level academic credit for life experience. However, students should confer with their concentration adviser regarding which courses to take that will enhance their background and not merely duplicate their previous experiences.

For Calculus I credit, you need a 3 or better on the Calculus AB or BC exam. For credit in both Calculus I and Calculus II, a 4 or better on the Calculus BC exam is required. Advanced Placement credit will supersede the results of the placement exams.

In order to receive credit for an AP course, you must earn at least a 3 on the exam. In some instances a 4 will be required to have the course waived. In these cases, you may receive credit for an elective course rather than the specific AP course. You should have an official AP score report forwarded to the Office of Admissions.

Since the freshman year of this sequence is a substitution for CHM 201/2, PHY 105/6 and COS 126, taking this sequence will affect your advanced placement credits in these areas in exactly the same way as if you had taken these regular introductory courses. That is, if you were awarded advanced placement credits equivalent to these courses by virtue of your performance on standardized tests, you may not use that credit towards advanced standing if you take CHM/COS/MOL/PHY 231-232.

If the AP test was taken, then NMMI will accept the AP credit. However, if the AP course was taken without the test, then no credit will be given. A list of AP credits that are acceptable to the school is available in the NMMI Catalog.

You must arrange for the scores from your Advanced Placement tests to be sent directly to UW-Platteville. The web site for AP is http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/exgrd_rep.html where you will find information on how to do this. The results of the AP tests are not sent out until mid-July, after the New Student Registration--Pioneer Passage dates. You will register for classes based on the information we have at hand-your UW-System Placement Test scores and your ACT scores.

Students who feel that they have sufficient background in physics and mathematics may request to test-out of introductory courses. All arrangements for departmental advanced placement testing must be made with the chairperson of the department. Advanced standing with credit is also available through the CEEB Advanced Placement Examinations.

The College reviews all transcripts carefully on a case-by-case basis. The Admissions Board makes the final determination of eligibility for the program. Without seeing your entire admissions package, a judgment on individual courses cannot be made.

Undergraduate students are required to prepare a student portfolio of life learning experiences, for evaluation and possible credit. Pillsbury College & Seminary may offer up to 25% of the total hours required for undergraduate degrees by Life Learning Experience. Specifically, a maximum of 16 Life Learning Experience credit hours may be awarded toward a 64 credit hour associate's degree, and a maximum of 32 Life Learning Experience credit hours toward a 128 credit hour bachelor's degree.

Yes! Most people use the testing option to demonstrate what they have learned through their life/work experience. However, if there is no standardized exam available in your area of expertise, and if this expertise is equivalent to college-level work, you may want to investigate completing a portfolio assessment of your prior learning. In our portfolio format you will be required to find college courses equivalent to the knowledge you have acquired.

Richmond will give credit for the CLEP exam. However, Richmond does not offer the CLEP exam. It must be taken prior to enrolment at a university. The program evaluates what a person knows prior to taking university courses, not afterwards. You may earn credits for life experience, approved professional credentials, and CLEP credits. You must be accepted into the program with 45 or more additional credits before you can begin writing Life Experience Essays.
