The BMC was bred as a homestead dog that would protect its family and home against intruders. This means that a well-bred BMC is territorial. Most BMCs off their "turf" work well with other dogs, hunting or herding stock, but on their family property will chase the same dog away. Their turf can be viewed by the dog as the family's home, land, truck, or sometimes proximity to "their person".

Yes. Pets must be confined by the owner, or on a leash not more than six (6) feet long, and kept under physical control at all times. You´re responsible for removal of all waste and for keeping your pet quiet during campground quiet hours (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Pets are not allowed in yurts, cabins, tepees or camper wagons, or on the Canyon Trail at Silver Falls.

For Echo Bay, Lake Mead Marina or Temple Bar, you may bring your household pets (dogs, cats, birds and turtles, etc.) on your vacation. Please note there is a $50 refundable deposit for pets in lodge rooms and an additional $10 room charge per pet. At Callville Bay, pets are not allowed.
