The optional OMAX Precision Optical Locator (POL) makes secondary machining on existing parts easy (for more information, see the POL Spec Sheet). You can also do secondary operations on existing parts by cutting a "square" from a plate of steel, then sliding the parts into the corner of the square, which provides a known reference point. The OMAX Controller also allows up to 100 user-specified home locations, which are provides multiple tooling locations on a single machine.

Macrohardness is in the 64-70 HRC range for WC 200, 60-66 HRC for WC 210 and 56-62 HRC range for WC219. However, our claddings are a composite of tungsten carbide particles dispersed in a nickel-based alloy matrix. The extremely hard carbide particles, with a Vickers Diamond Pyramid Hardness of about 2000 DPH50g (1865 DPH50g is equivalent to 80 Rockwell C Hardness (HRC)), are surrounded by a two-phase matrix (300-800 DPH50g, equivalent to 30-64 HRC).

Yes. Typical ground surfaces are 16-32 R(a). Beyond that, the cladding can be polished to a surface finish of less than 12 R(a) over most of the clad surface. Shiplap is the traditional and ever popular cladding profile for use in sheds and other garden buildings. Shiplap features smooth planed and fully interlocking tongued and grooved boarding. The design ensures that rainwater drains quickly and the timber dries quickly. This helps to ensure a longer life for your shed. Our sheds feature properly tongued and grooved boarding which is stronger than the half lap shiplap or rebated shiplap used by many others.

Loglap is an increasingly popular cladding profile for use in sheds and other garden buildings. Loglap features smooth planed and fully interlocking tongued and grooved boarding with a rounded external log effect profile. The design ensures that rainwater drains quickly and the timber dries quickly. This helps to ensure a longer life for your shed. Our sheds feature properly tongued and grooved boarding which is stronger than the half lap loglap or rebated loglap used by many others.

Limestone cladding is cut into 35mm thick tiles from natural limestone, using diamond tipped saw blades. It is available as an all round diamond cut tile for butt jointing or diamond cut face with quarry cut edges for use when mortar joints are to be used.

Assemblages are groups of artifacts made and left behind at one place on the landscape (a site), ideally by a single group of people or by closely related groups. Ideally, archeologists prefer to study assemblages representing only a single culture dating to a short period of time; these are known as single-component assemblages. A site component is a group of artifacts and cultural features left during one occupational episode or relatively brief period.

Typical cladding thicknesses are in the 0.020” - 0.060” (0.5mm-1.5mm) range. If required, thinner or thicker claddings can be applied.

Cladding cannot be applied on-site. Parts to be clad are either sent to Conforma Clad for processing or fabricated completely at our facility. Alternately (especially for large parts), we can clad tailored liners and install the liner on site.
