Much like you, when we first saw this design technique years ago, we were concerned with its securing capabilities. However, once the designer insisted that we try to pry the diamond free, it became apparently clear that it could not be done. So yes, this diamond is absolutely secure. In fact, the ring is made around a specific diamond and secured under 65 to 95 pounds of pressure.

Do not force belt over sheave grooves. Slack off drive for easy mounting of belt. Align and adjust drive so that belt operates free and clear of all obstructions. Belt tension is highly important. When in operation both tight and slack strands of. the belt should be in a straight line from sheave to sheave, and with no sag or bow. Check belt tension after eight hours operation, followed by periodic inspections to be sure belt is under sufficient tension and that belt is not slipping.

Make sure that bobbin case and spring are clean before beginning this procedure. This is to ensure consistency once proper tension is set. Pull bobbin from under hole of tension spring. If bobbin case has a middle thread guide or pigtail, do not thread through at this time. Hold the bobbin by the thread hanging out of the case to check the tension. The ideal tension should be when the bobbin does not move, or is very slow releasing thread.

The mirror sling has two purposes. The first is to prevent the mirror from rotating, which would shift the triangles from being centered over the collimation bolts. The second is to lift the mirror up off the lower two cell posts. This provides a nice even support for the mirror and allows the mirror to follow the collimation bolts when they are backed off, rather than being held by friction on the lower posts.

The spokes are strange dark radial features (as long as 20,000 km!) that move about in curious patterns on the B ring. Since the spokes have been observed on both sides of the ring plane, they are thought to be microscopic grains that have become charged and are levitating away the ring plane. Another possibility is a meteor punched through Saturn's rings, lifting dust particles away from the ring plane.

Most likely, we can. We just need to have an idea of the quality of the stone. We can not use stones with major structural flaws. If we can use your stone there will be an additional setting charge. If you bought the diamond from us, this would not apply.

By having your rings checked at least once a year, we can see well ahead of time, if you have done any damage to your ring and suggest ways of fixing it.

Your chain tension is set correctly is when the chain is as tight as possible, but still moves freely around the guide bar. To check your chain tension be sure that your bar and chain are lubricated with bar & chain oil. Then, wearing gloves or using a rag to protect your hands, grab the chain on the top rail midpoint of the bar and the bottom rail midpoint of the bar. Aggressively pull the chain back and forth several times to be sure it is seated properly.

Depending on where you live, tension can mean knitting gauge or it can have to do with the openness or tightness of your knitting. Gauge is important because how your stitches look will influence how the finished knitted item looks.

All rings are measured from the inside edge to the other inside edge. This is their inner diameter (ID) The nylon rings are SMALL 2 1/4"(5.7 cm), MED 2 5/8" (6.7 cm), LARGE 2 7/8" (7.3 cm) and are 0.4" (1 cm) thick. The aluminum rings are SMALL 2" (5 cm) MED 2.5" (6.4 cm), LARGE 3" (7.6 cm) and 0.25" (.64 cm) thick.

It is fine to wash slings made with our rings in a regular washer. They can also be dried in the drier. You should check your sling and rings carefully after they are washed and dried and before you wear them again.

Currently nylon rings are available in black, white, grey, ivory and navy (the "neutrals") and blue, green, purple and burgundy (the "colors") Aluminum rings are at present available in black, silver, gold and brown/bronze (the "neutrals") and blue, green, purple, turquoise and red (the "colors"). Our rings are priced as they are for two main reasons. The first is that they are made in the USA. We pay our workers a living wage. The second is that our rings are made especially for use in baby slings, which means that we put them through two and three extra processes to make sure that they are smooth and h4 and safe. We use only the highest quality materials for these same reasons.

Generally rings are shipped the next business day after they are ordered. There are occasional delays, but rings are always shipped within 2-3 business days. Rings are shipped through the United States Post Office, and are not guaranteed to arrive by a certain date. Orders of less than 5 pair are shipped first class mail, and generally arrive about 5 business days after they are sent.

In most of the cases you get good results when setting the tension loose: "when you hold onto the bobbin thread and let the bobbin case hang, it should begin a slow but steady drop."
