For a renewal just bring the old registration. For a new registration, when purchased from a dealer, the green sales tax form and Maine assigned numbers for used recreation vehicles. If it was bought in a private sale you will need, the bill of sale, Maine assigned number, serial numbers and horsepower and length for boats. Sales tax of 5% is collected on private sales.

You can take the machines that you rent anywhere that you desire, as long as you return by the time your rental is due. We suggest you stay on established trails and pack out what you take in.

The Colorado Trail Foundation supports a non-motorized trail. The Trail is suitable for hikers, equestrians, mountain bikers (with the exception of wilderness areas), and pack animals. A few sections of the CT are still shared with motorized users.

If you are a Massachusetts resident and want to get your motorcycle license easily and automatically in the mail by successfully completing the course, you should have your permit (and have prepaid the $15 RMV license fee) before the time that your course begins. The Orford Town Clerk and Lebanon DMV substation register boats (boat registration application form). Boat renewals may be done via mail directly with the DMV Boat Desk. The Lyme Country Store registers ATV's and snowmobiles. In order to register these, you must present the supporting documents (old registrations, paperwork from the state or purchase documents) to an authorized agent. The state department of Fish and Game’s web site has additional information on snowmobiles and ATVs.

We always review the proper operating and safety procedures with all riders. We will recommend riding areas that fit your level of riding experience. Both ATVs and snowmobiles have essentially automatic transmissions making them easy to drive.

There are over 45 miles of designated ATV trails throughout the forest. Parking is available at each trailhead. WMA check-in stations contain hunting brochures with a district map on the back or you can pick one up at the district office. A permit can be purchased at any self-service fee station or at the district office in Rolling Fork. Annual permits are only sold at the district office.
