The traditional place is at the oil-pressure switch. On the SR20DE & SR20DET engines this is to the rear of the oil filter (which is on the right side of the engine, down low). An auto parts supplier should be able to supply the fittings you need. Looking at the wiring diagram, it seems the ECCS does not need the switch to be there, but you probably want to keep it. In this case a brass "T" fitting could be screwed into the original hole, and the switch and gauge take-off fitted to this.

The stock SS oil pressure gauge is completely bogus, since it actually does not use a sending unit but a switch instead. The oil pressure switch is mounted on the back of the engine behind the intake manifold, and is calibrated to close at 4 psi. When the switch closes, it grounds the stock oil pressure gauge through a 68-ohm resistor, which causes the gauge to read 3/4 scale at all times.

Basically, after setting the speed, the car refuses to hold the setting, sometimes accelerating as much as 15mph over the set speed. You will need a replacement cruise control processor. See your dealer for the warranty work. We've just started hearing about this from a number of sources.

Ford had a bunch of complaints about high oil press readings on the factory gauge (in the red at high end of scale).... their solution. Put a pin in the gauge to keep the needle from ever going into the red!! Start by removing the dual fan assemblies. Unplug and remove wires and tuck them away over by the fender, making sure they won't blow back into new fan blades or belts. If you have the upper rad hose with the kink in it you are ok for fan blade clearance.

Because the crank rides on roller bearings rather than hydraulic ones, the KLR has a low pressure spec: 11-21 psi at 90F and 4000 rpm. In short, the best way to add a pressure port is probably by stacking a second banjo fitting on one of the camshaft feeds. Beware that adding a tap may add a failure point.

Standard gauge reading is approximately 35 at 30 miles per hour and 10 at idle speed. See the General Lubrication Page. The line coming out of the tank is solid but quickly turns into standard gas line hose. It runs inside the frame and is close to the exhaust pipe. I haven't caught fire yet.

Slide the battery cover off in the direction of the arrow shown on the cover. Install the batteries making sure the positive and negative polarities match the polarities shown in the battery compartment. Replace the battery cover. When you need to replace the batteries in your unit, remove and replace all of the batteries at the same time. We always recommend long-life alkaline batteries for best performance.

Don't ignore it. An oil pressure warning light (or low gauge reading) means one of two things: either your engine has dangerously low oil pressure (for a variety of reasons which we'll get to in a minute), or the oil pressure sending unit that triggers the warning light (or operates your gauge) has failed. First, do not keep driving if the oil warning light is on or your oil pressure gauge has dropped. Stop the engine, let it sit for a few minutes, then check the oil level.

Why don't Nissan fit one to cars outside Japan? Beats me, but if you want to do it yourself, it's not that hard. The first part is find a gauge that you like (I used a 46mm HKS unit). There are several reasons a filter gauge pressure can be excessive. The filter needs backwashing, the return line valves (the pipes that push water back to the pool) are shut or partially closed, the filter needs to have new media installed (D. E. manual breakdown, new filter sand, or a new cartridge element).

A low pressure on the filter gauge usually indicates that water is not being allowed to get to the pool pump.

There is no practical way to measure the pressure between the drive rollers and the reel flanges. A pressure gauge on the power unit cylinder is susceptible to false readings and therefore can become a safety problem. Any readings at the cylinder or extrapolations of such readings would vary from pull to pull depending on the cleanliness of the slide rails, the lubrication to the rails, the internal integrity of the cylinder and other factors that make it totally unreliable.

We recommend a water pressure gauge on every boat with or with out a jack plate. A water pressure gauge monitors your water pressure to assure that you are getting adequate water pressure to your motor.

The steam pressure gauge should reach a maximum of 1.5 BAR. This makes an optimal flow of steam possible. The pressure gauge of the boiler should show 9 BAR when the pump is on; during normal functioning the pressure may vary from a minimum equal to the mains pressure, to a maximum of 12 BAR.

We use various inclined manometers, vertical manometers, magnehelic gauges, and two high pressure gauges, that all have different % accuracy. Using our calibrated hook gauge, we calibrate our inclined manometers to ??% of full scale, and the magnehelics are ?3% of full scale.

Most vacuum systems are outfitted with a total pressure measurement device such as an ion gauge, Penning gauge or Pirani gauge. An Extorr on a vacuum system is able to measure pressures from atmosphere to Ultra High Vacuum with its built-in Pirani and Ion gauge. All of these gauges will indicate how much total gas remains in the vacuum system. When the required level of vacuum can not be reached, other total pressure gauges can give no further information as to why.

There is no code requirement for gauges; however, it is helpful to have a pressure gauge installed on each side of pressure reducing valves. Installing one on the steam station or near the main valve also is a good practice.

Pressure is the amount of force pushing the flow of water. It's measured in pounds per square inch (PSI) and can be easily measured with a low cost pressure gauge. Knowing your starting pressure helps determine whether or not you need a pressure regulator, but it's not essential in a simple backyard system. Regular household pressure is often around 50 PSI.
