Oh, Chris. I'm afraid you don't understand... Upscaling doesn't magically make new pixels where there previously were none. Yem is right in that the so-called "upscaling" is either done in the device outputting the video or in the display. What Yem wanted to know was the difference. The way I understand it, the difference is in how this is done. Videos belonging to games from Blizzard contain DivX video, but with a different FourCC, namely "BLZ0". To play such videos you need to use ffdshow for decoding DivX video. The regular DivX decoder won't work (unless you manually change the FourCC). If that doesn't solve the problem, then you should use Media Player Classic or VideoLAN to play the file.
