There is not a minimum GPA requirement. Our average for the class of 2008 was 3.4. Students who are admitted with a GPA below a 3.0 are admitted on a probationary status and must maintain a 3.0 or higher in the fall semester in order to continue with the program.

No. Many factors are considered in the admissions process. However, you will want to note our average and range of scores in our most recent class profile. We will see all of your scores but will take your higher score if you take the test twice. If you take the GMAT more than twice, we consider all scores, but don’t average them.

The Graduate Council requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent. Entering students normally are expected to have completed the B.S. degree requirements with at least a 3.0 grade-point average in all coursework taken in the junior and senior years of undergraduate study. Students entering the Ph.D. program are expected to have completed the requirements for the master's degree with at least a 3.25 grade-point average, and to have demonstrated creative ability. Admission to the UCLA Electrical Engineering Department is quite competitive.

Yes. Standardized test scores are an important part of your application for admission, but they are only one part of your application. Each major has established requirements. For example, the School of Business and Engineering place more of an emphasis on the math SAT than most of the majors in the School of Arts and Sciences. SAT or ACT scores are required for all applicants who graduated from high school after 1998. This requirement is waived for transfer students who have completed a minimum of 24 credits with a GPA of at least 2.0.

If you are applying as a freshman student at LTU, you are required to take either the SAT or ACT.  If you have taken at least 30 credits or one year of full-time college course-work you are not required to take the SAT or ACT for admission.
