You can't use the insert key in combination with most letters on the AG-5. To activate the insert command, you have to simultaneously press the AG-5's green shift key and the delete key. When you press the green shift key, most of the AG-5's keys switch functionality from generating letters to generating punctuations. The only letters that are not affected by pressing the green shift key are the C, K, L, Y, J, V, X, and Z.
