Queensland Academies will purchase past exam papers which can be used as a guide for students to familiarise themselves with the examination format.

Exam papers from academic session 1996-1997 onwards can be viewed in electronic format at Edinburgh University Past Exam Papers Online at which site guidance on electronic access is offered. In the Main Library, past exam papers in print format from 2000-2001 to 2003-2004 can be found on the 3rd Floor, at shelfmark Per. .37 Uni. They are bound as follows: Arts, Social Sciences, Science and Engineering, and Divinity / Law / Medicine / Music / Dental Surgery / Vet.

Exam Papers are now available online. Copies of exam papers from the last five years are available from the Short Loan Collection (SLC) on Floor 2.

Examination papers from 1996 are available in print form in the Information Commons Area on Q Floor (beyond staircase). Exam papers from 2000 are available online.

Some departments have made their exam papers available electronically via the web. Please see the Library's examination papers web page for more details. Some of the older Exam Papers are held in printed format.

Please contact your Local Coordinator for copies of past exam papers. Please note that an administrative fee may be charged.

The Library doesn't have past exam papers available, but you can buy them from the Open University Students Association (OUSA) - all proceeds go to OUSET (Open University Students Educational Trust). Examples of exam papers for the last 4 years are available for most courses. For details of the exam papers available and how to obtain them, see the OUSA web site and click on the OUSA shopping link.

You may use questions from a paper for criticism and review purposes but you should remember that sometimes third party copyright material is included and we cannot give you permission to use that.

Use the Short Loans option in NEWCAT to search for exam papers. Choose 'Course' from the short loans search menu and type in 'examination papers - subject name' or 'subject name - examination papers' eg. 'chemistry - examination papers'. If the exam is available online it will have the notation 'Electronic copy available'. Please note that availability of past exam papers in the library is at the discretion of the lecturer/faculty.

Besides notes, assignments and past exam papers, you may have other reference materials for learners. You can upload these reading materials to the General Documents sub-section under the relevant course so that learners can retrieve them easily.

You can't. ETS does not make past papers available to either students or textbook writers. If you see a book that claims to be based on real past papers or the analysis of past papers, it is not true. The closest thing you can find is probably a book with the official ETS logo on the cover.

You may distribute paper copies of the examination papers provided you have bought a copy of the CD-ROM on which all papers and markschemes from a single session are published. We ask that you keep control of the CD-ROM and do not release the electronic file of any examination paper or post it on any website.

the CPE has been revised there are no past papers available but there are sample Reading and Use of English Papers on the Flo-Joe website in interactive format, which have been taken from the CPE Handbook. The Handbook also contains sample Writing, Listening and Speaking papers.

Answer: Comparing the number of IB diploma students with the number of AP diploma students is comparing apples and oranges. The differences between the two programs are significant. In fact, there is no AP diploma. The College Board, which administers AP exams, stopped offering an AP diploma four or five years ago. At that time, FCPS said it would continue recognizing students who take a specified number of AP courses and exams with an AP certificate.

When exam vouchers are purchased you have up to one year from the date of purchase to use it. Each voucher is valid for one exam and may only be used at an Authorized Prometric Testing Center in the country for which it was purchased. Exam expiration dates cannot be extended. You must register and take your exam prior to the expiration date of your voucher.

Type 1 (individual user accounts) requires your students to register their unique username and password. Once their password has been approved by us (within 24 hous) they will be able to access their account from any PC with internet access, whether it's within your institution or at home. All users must have a valid email address so they we can send them reminders before their account expires and/or their password details if a student loses his/her account details. (See Q4.)

There are two kinds of IB assessments: external and Internal. Some assessment methods include portfolios/Dossiers, written essays, studio works, experimental work, oral commentaries as well as written exams and are tailored for the different learning styles. Considering that exams may or may not reflect what a student really knows and what he or she is able to do, having a variety of assessment tools allows the IB organization to fairly assess the student's true ability.
