A patch is a collection of files that when installed on your computer will enhance the functions of a specific program for which it was designed. The RADIUS patches are usually distributed in a compressed (*.zip) format to reduce download time. Installation instructions for each patch vary. The RADIUS program was designed in such a manner to allow the NJ DEP Air Program to adapt the information contained within RADIUS to the rapidly changing environmental world.

Applying an update to Hurricane is as easy as replacing your current EXE file with the newer updated EXE. First: Make sure you backup your full hurricane.exe. You can do this be renaming it, or moving it to another directory, or "Zipping" it up somewhere safe. The "patch" file is typically much smaller (about 400Kb total) than your usual Hurricane.exe file (about 1.3Mb). The patch is smaller because all the necessary support files are missing. When you upgrade, all the old settings, programs, files, etc are saved and used with the new XP installation. In a clean install, you have the option of reformatting the partition where XP will be installed. Unless circumstances absolutely prohibit a clean install, I never recommend the upgrade install.

There are many reasons possible: You already have the latest version. A virus changed your files. You altered the original files mit cracks, cheats, etc. You don't have enough discspace on your harddrive. You specified the wrong directory.

Go to "Device Manager" and under "Devices By Type" look for "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". If the update took correctly Device Manager will have changed from "Standard Enhance PCI to USB Host Controller" to "VIA USB2.0 Enhance Host Controller".

It is widely agreed that a clean install is better to perform than an upgrade install. A clean install will replace all of the system files and requires that everything on your system be reloaded (including documents, programs, and any customizations you made). Upgrades are much easier but are messier because they replace and add crucial system files.

There is no need to upgrade your file system to use DocPoint. You can import your files and documents to DocPoint, and leave your existing file system intact.

Both. First the latest full version, and then the latest upgrade. Both are available from http://support.jgaa.com. I recently installed 1.7 and found that certain domains such as *.mil*, *.gov* etc. are pre-configured for rejection. Either this is hard coded or I don't understand how to remove this restriction Version 1.7 does have these settings hardcoded, partly because governments sucks, and partly to demonstrate the feature.

Go to the Java Upgrade Instructions page and select the Windows or Mac operating system. Follow instructions for upgrading the Java plugin. Note that if you want to upgrade to a newer Java version, you must first remove the existing plugin and then reinstall the upgraded version.
