In the Video Shield local server or Remote go to: setup\options\network and check that you are configured to the same type of connection: TCP\IP or UDP\IP.

This is probably due to the fact that you are not publishing your TNOS IP address via the Linux kernel IP, thus TNOS will never receive ARP broadcasts for its own address. This is easily fixed by adding a line in your rc.local or rc.inet1 file (or wherever you choose to put it depending on your Linux/unix installation. I recommend using the multicast server on the PC DVMS whish you can start by clicking the button that either looks like 3 computers connected or it is labeled "Remote".
