There is no automatic deletion of any email in your Inbox or other folders you create. Those messages remain forever until you delete them. Only the Trash and Spam are autodeleted, according to settings you control under Preferences / Web Mail Options. Currently you can purchase additional storage space by clicking on My Account at the top of any page, and logging in there. We are working on increasing the minimum quota for all mailboxes to 1 Gigabyte in a few months.

You can determine the size of your entire mailbox by selecting Mailbox - Last Name, First Name instead of a single folder.
