You can record any file up to the amount of empty hard drive space that you have in your system. The software currently 'caps' recordings at 2GB in length. This means that you can record 2048MB of data. At 44.1kHz, 16-bit stereo (CD format for audio), this would amount to roughly 200 minutes of audio data. Use the software that came with your burner. Specify that the burn will be an "audio CD". Drag the mp3(s) to your layout. That's it. Note that you will get a maximum of 74 or 80 minutes of audio on each CD-R; this boils down to two 30-minute shows or one 60-minute show. Use 74min CD-R media for maximum playability. It is the same thing. If you cannot associate .ram with your player, just rename the downloaded movie to .rm extention. Also a .ram file can be created to easily view a series of .rm vids in sequence. For example, make a test.txt file with: in three lines, save and rename to test.ram. Play it and it will try to play those three. The test.ram and the 3 vids should be in same directory, if you don't want to get fancy. Conventional WAV files are not compressed. For sound or music of any significant duration, WAV files are huge. The size of a normal good quality WAV file is very roughly 10MB per minute of sound or music, whereas that of the equivalent MP3 file is very roughly 1MB per minute. Traditionally, CD players could only handle uncompressed audio in "Red Book" format. Newer players gained the ability to play MP3 files from a CD-ROM. Such discs should be written in ISO-9660 with 8+3 filenames, and ought to use 128Kbps and "plain" stereo for broadest compatibility. If you don't have an MP3-CD compatible player, you need to write a standard "Red Book" audio CD. Most CD recording applications will now allow you to record directly from MP3 files. Goldwave (www.goldwave.com) has an option to extract the audio from an AVI file to wav audio. Use this option, save the results as a WAV file, then use an encoder to produce an MP3 file.
