Yes, a number of users have constructed models using raster GIS data. (We don't know of users who have used vector GIS data, other than by converting it to raster data first.) One simple way is to use import-pcolors, but that only works for importing maps that are images, not maps in other formats. We do not have built-in support for reading common GIS formats.

Modules exist to import data into DESS from a number of popular GIS systems, including GIS systems from ESRI, Intergraph, Enghouse and Canmap. There should not be duplicate entries when you merge the data. The software will be set to merge using the VFC PIN# for the providers. As long as all users in a program use the same PIN for a provider, then the visit data will all be merged into one record for that provider. If different PIN numbers are used for the same clinic, then you will have duplicate entries that will need to be weeded out. See similar questions...

In the meantime, though, there are some possible solutions. One is to convert the image data into a format that import-world can understand, then import it that way. Another is to read and translate the image data yourself using file-open and file-read-characters. Layers that change often such as parcel lines, parcel text, addresses, road centerlines, etc. Are updated as quickly as the information is filed and processed. planimetric Layers (Building footprints, edge of pavement, sidewalks, etc.) were originally captured from a 1999 aerial flight. Yes, use the AFTF Data Worksheet (a Microsoft Excel File) to format the data that is to be imported into the program. Once you are done formatted the data in the spreadsheet, press the "Export File" button to export the data to a Comma Separated Value (CSV).
