A processing fee in the amount of $65, effective January 1st, 2005 (Cashier's Check or Money Order only) made payable to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. This payment is submitted with your CCW Permit Application form and Fingerprint Card upon completion of the course. Your instructor will provide you with and help you complete the required forms at the conclusion of class.

Five (5) Years. There is NO grace period beyond your expiration date. If you do not meet the requirements of renewal within 60 days of your permit expiration, then you must re-take the full 8 Hour CCW Course. NO EXCEPTIONS! Concealed weapon permits must be renewed every five (5) years. New renewal procedures have implemented as a result of the passage of H.B. 2074 by the Arizona Legislature. Effective September 21st, 2006 you will no longer need to take a renewal course.

Answer: Building permits are valid for a period of one year. Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing permits are valid for six months from issuance.

Construction permits are valid for 18 months from the date of issuance. Master Use Permits are valid for a period of up to 5 years from the approval date following the public appeals process.

A zoning permit shall expire within six months of issuance unless substantial work (over 50%) has commenced and is continuing. For a minor fee and while the permit is still valid, it is possible to extend a zoning permit for a six-month period of time. If a zoning permit expires (without substantial construction), it become null and void and a new zoning permit would be required.

Work authorized by a permit must begin within six months of the date of the permit and be completed within one year of permit approval. Work extending beyond these time frames requires the issuance of a new permit.

One year. During this time you must pass the on-road skills test. If you don't pass and your permit expires, you will need to apply for a new CDL permit before being allowed to take another stab at conquering the skills test. long as you operate the vehicle while wearing a military uniform, you are not required to have a CDL.

CCW packets are available at the Grand Ledge Police Department free of charge. All of the information you will need is in the packet. When applying for a CCW permit, you will also be required to have a gun Safety Certificate completed by an authorized firearms instructor, or a Police Officer. We can provide a list of qualified instructors for the CCW class but we cannot recommend any particular instructor. Back to the top.
