The Spring Competitive Season starts in late February or early March ( with practice sessions ) and runs through mid-June. Regular season game play usually starts in early April. Historically, each team has played 8 games with approximately half of them on our home field. No games are played on Easter and Memorial Day week-ends. However, practices are scheduled during school spring vacations Usually between 16 and 24 individuals are on a team. We generally try for twenty per team, if possible.

U6 starts 4/7/08, U5 starts 4/11/08, and all other age groups have their first game 4/5/08. With the exception of U5 and U6, you will start practicing a week or two before these dates.

AYLC uses an online registration process through a company called ACTIVE.COM. NOTE: We no longer accept "paper" registrations. Online registration is the only acceptable method for enrolling. Normally the season for Atom, Peewee and Bantam starts the 3rd weekend in August and runs for 9 weeks. This is followed by 3 weeks of League playoffs and 2 weeks of provincials. For 2007 the season start date is yet to be determined. Games are normally on Saturdays and Sundays. Again this season there will be a few games played on Friday nights "under the lights". Most clubs begin practices many weeks before the season starts.

Allergy seasons vary throughout the country. In general terms, the early spring is the time for tree pollens. Grass pollen usually is present in the late spring, early summer, and weed pollens are present in the late summer and early fall. In warmer climates, each of these seasons may start earlier; vice versa for colder climates. Some parts of the country have less weed pollens than others, so their prime pollen season may end earlier.

The Cadet, Junior and High School Intramural Divisions (Boys and Girls) typically play 10 regular season games from early-December thru mid-February. There is a post-season tournament (The Brotherhood Postseason Tournament) for Cadet, Junior and High School Boys and Girls. Travel Teams have significantly more regular season games, additional practice sessions, and several of the teams participate in postseason tournaments.

The season kicks off the first week in August, with football practice 4 nights per week, approximately 2 hours each night. The first game is typically Labor Day weekend, and there are 8 games total (4 home and 4 away). Most games are on Sundays (sometimes there are 1 or 2 Saturday games).

Mosquitoes are most active from early spring until the first frost in many areas of the United States. This also is true for ticks. In warmer regions, biting insects may be active year-round.

Boys High School Lacrosse in Oregon normally begins second week in March and concludes with State Championships games very end of May.

This is not generally recommended since the moisture added to the air could condense when it comes in contact with the very cold air conditioning coils. You will likely not need supplemental humidity during the summer months anyway.

The ice hockey season generally runs from early September to mid April. Finishing dates depend on the club's success in advancing to the playoffs.

In most US cities, the local GAA season runs from April through August. April is when the teams start to recruit and warm up with some light training sessions. In Ireland, the inter-county All-Ireland championships run from May through September. The club All-Ireland championship runs through the winter and the finals are played on St Patrick's Day.

The starting date is January 24, 2007. The program will continue for twelve months. The last meeting will take place on December 19, 2007. There will be a second round of sessions beginning in the Spring 2008 and ending in the Winter/Spring 2009. This second round of sessions will be for an entirely new and separate group of pediatricians and nurse practitioners. Each group of sessions is twelve months in duration.

This season starts about March 1st and closes November 15th. Each fisherman that fished these products during a specified time has been allocated a quota that they can harvest each year. The quota for each fisherman is adjusted each year depending on the forecast by National Marine Fisheries biologists.
