If you are diabetic, and on glucophage and/or glucovance, please contact our office as soon as possible. This exam requires a bowel cleansing. The day before the exam, eat a light lunch and dinner, without any roughage. At your pharmacy, buy Ducolax tablets or a ten ounce bottle of magnesium citrate. On the day of the exam you should not have any caffeine. That would mean no coffee, tea, cola’s, chocolate or any other form of caffeine. It’s alright to eat and drink on the day of the exam but you should have only light meals. far as medication goes, you should continue to take any medication you are on.
